Big Rig Show

There was a big rig show at the old Chanute AFB. It brought back a lot of memories of my days on the road. Here are a few pictures of both. I drove for 21 months and covered 200,000 miles. Great fun and learned a lot.

 Old truck in excellent condition.

 My favorite in the competition.

Another favorite. These are bobtails, without trailer.

Notice the lady cleaning between the rear wheels.

Lots of work to keep clean.

My first truck when I started driving.

My second truck was shorter so I could go into Canada.

Stopped for a short look at nature.

 My co-driver.

 Utah, near Moab.

Co-driver keeping an eye on the road.

It wasn't always fun and games.

View of the driving compartment from the sleeper.
