I took another trip up into the mountains and saw more magnificent beauty. 

A water fall along the trail that flows under the road.

American Basin with flowers in bloom. Great time to be there. In late July. 

Great way to travel in the mountains. You can go about everywhere.

One view is just as good as the next.

Waterfalls are everywhere.

Worlds Largest Ball of Twine

Out in Kansas I made a discovery.

It is very long and heavy.

And you will never guess who I met there.

Yes, if it wasn't Abe himself. (Steve Burns)

A Look-alike who goes around to special functions.

He had been at a Homesteader's function and was headed home.

The Homestead Act was signed by Abe on May 20, 1862.

Since I am from the Land Of Lincoln I thought it was great.

So if you are ever in Cawker, Kansas, stop in to see this accomplishment.

They add twine to it every year in August.
