Buffalo Bill Center of the West

I got a chance to go to a great museum in Cody, WY. It has 6 museum's  in one. You can visit it at:
centerofthewest.org
It was a great day and I got a couple pictures. The man at the wagon was cooking beans and biscuits for us to sample. He was using a Dutch Oven over a fire. They have a very large firearms museum and a great art museum with Remington, Wyatt and Russell paintings. I really enjoyed the art as you know I do. The cactus sculpture is made out of steel. Look Cody up on a map to see how close it is to Yellowstone.

Chief Joseph's Highway / Beartooth Pass

Before the Mule Days in Wyoming friends of mine and I took a trip on Chief Joseph's Highway over Dead Indian Pass and after eating lunch in Cooke City went over Beartooth Pass into Montana. I believe this is more beautiful the Yellowstone. It is just outside the Northeast gate into Yellowstone.

Oregon Trail

Out in Nebraska I got to see some landmarks along the Oregon trail. Courthouse Rock, Jail Rock and then I drove over to Chimney Rock. It  must have been a difficult journey. It was a hot day when I was there.

Parsons College

My old college in Iowa has a new purpose. It teaches about Transcendental Meditation .
My dormitory is still there and I got to see my old room of years ago.

County Road U

Been dreaming about my land in Colorado and it has been very wet out there this Spring. My friends have sent pictures of the flood.  The mountains look great.

Looking east from CR U toward the Sange De Cristo mountains.
The men are working on repairing broken canals.

The water was so high it broke through some of the canal edges.

Retired

Retired and ready for summer. I got a new little camera called an Olympus Stylus and hope to take a lot of pictures. I will post pictures and hope to create and interest in travel and outdoors. I'm going to Wyoming first for Mule Days. Friends of mine have two wonderful mules.
